Steve was born in NYC and grew up in Queens, NY. Steve was a good athlete involved in track and field, baseball and ice hockey. While attending the Academy of Aeronautics, now the Vaughn College of Aeronautics at the base of LGA airport in Queens, NY, the US Marine barracks was bombed in Beriut, Lebanon. Steve finished classes that day and soon afterwards enlisted in the US Navy. Less than a year later Steve was serving our nation onboard his first at-sea command aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). On this deployment (WestPac) Steve spent 8 months deployed with 107 straight days at sea in the Persian Gulf or as it was called in the fleet, Persian Gulf Yacht Club. Steve became a Shellback on this deployment.

While in the US Navy for 9 years both active and reserves, Steve achieved flight status. His main mission was Anti-Submarine Warfare (AW) and Search and Rescue (SAR) cross- trained as a Navy Rescue Swimmer. Steve held a SECRET clearance and was also part of the special Personal Realibity Program (PRP). He flew onboard various Naval aircraft, SH3H (helicopters), S3 Viking (carrier launched jet aircraft) while on active duty, and P3C Orions (multi engine turboprop fixed wing aircraft) while in the reserves.  Steve was trained to search the world's oceans. The world is 2/3 water. The AW mission was to hunt, locate, track and destroy hostile submarine threats of the US fleet, the USA and our allies. Steve had the privilege to fly off the decks of 7 aircraft carriers, 1 battleship, 1 destroyer and he is also an Honorary Submariner spending a short stint on a US Nuclear submarine. He attended 26 different training schools/classes and commands while associated in the US Navy. He traveled around the globe as well.  Steve is the 3rd gereration Navy man in his family tree and his oldest son is the 4th generation who followed the tradition and spent 10 years himself serving in the US Navy's nuclear submarine fleet.

Steve was also the former NJ Secetary of State for NAIFA (National Accociation of Insurance and Financial Advisors). This position allowed Steve to go to the NJ Statehouse in Trenton as well as Washington DC to talk with congressional lawmakers face to face or testify at hearings on matters relating to financial issues being discussed by policy makers prior to becoming new laws.

These facts are mentioned because Steve's military training and NAIFA dealings have served him well as a financial advisor. Steve also ran an import/export business between his Naval service and his current financial services career. Because of this Steve understands the needs of a business owner. These qualifications make him unique vs traditionally trained advisors. Steve will always defend and protect a clients position just like he defended the US Constitution when serving in the US Navy. Steve plans for his clients like they are going to war...giving advice that protects against financial risk and avoid paying unnecessary taxes. Life is full of many uncertainties. Covid-19 is just one example. When you put money in any investment, the investor is always subject to market risk, tax risk and capital risk. Steve will plan for clients with guarantees  whenever possible to help reduce these risks and stablize the outcome. Steve will introduce clients to strategies that help minimize or eliminate paying unnecessary taxes. Steve educates people on what they can do vs what is sexy, vogue and being repeated 24/7 on the financial shows and social media outlets. Steve himself uses the very same products and strategies he recommends to those he serves.  A very smart person told Steve early on in his career, "a guarantee beats a hyopthetical rate of return every time."  When you are in this industry long enough or as a seasoned investor you have experienced  BLACK SWAN events that always show up and wipe out years of investment results unannounced.

Steve in his 20+ years of financial services experience chooses to only align himself with other advisors in the financial services industry who served in the military or come from a military family for one reason, that being someone who is willing to put their life on the line for their fellow citizens has the core values to do what is necessary to ensure again that their fellow citizens are protected, this time around in a financial capacity. This is built into every veterans DNA. So allow us to again serve you with our new mission: PROTECTING your financial well being!

Steve is married with 4 children, 4 grandchildren and he still plays competitive ice hockey.
